Beta Systems Improves Position in New Gartner Magic Quadrant for Identity Governance and Administration

Berlin, Germany. 16. January 2015 – Beta Systems announced today that its position in the new Gartner Magic Quadrant for Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) has improved for “Ability to Execute” and “Completeness of Vision” compared to last year’s Magic Quadrant. The Gartner Magic Quadrant for Identity Governance and Administration was published 12 January 2015 by Felix Gaethgens, Brian Iverson and Steve Krapes. Driven by customer feedback, analyst recommendations and general technology trends, Beta Systems prioritizes the development of new features and has introduced several new functions since the publication of the last Magic Quadrant in December 2013.

Continued execution on strategy
“With the latest release of SAM Enterprise Identity Manager we combine the advantages of powerful and sophisticated provisioning with access governance functionality”, says Niels von der Hude, Director Market Development at Beta Systems Software. “We also believe our improvement in the ability to execute is due to Beta Systems having executed on its strategy of expanding outside the financial services sector by building up its expertise in industry-specific requirements and processes in other sectors, notably healthcare and transportation.”

Continuous improvement of portfolio and market reach
Recognizing the cautions from the latest IGA Magic Quadrant report, Beta Systems has already started to increase its geographical reach by heavy investments in the development of a global partner program that was launched in fall 2014. As a result, the company has already signed up several new partners in various countries over the last few months.

Ability to execute and completeness of vision
Gartner positions vendors’ in the Magic Quadrant on two principal criteria: ability to execute and completeness of vision. The first of these looks at the product’s features as well as the vendor’s overall viability, sales execution, market responsiveness, marketing execution, operational effectiveness and the customer experience. The “completeness of vision” criterion covers market understanding, marketing and sales strategies, product strategy, business model, vertical/industry strategy, innovation and geographical strategy.
